Who we are
Videographer.org is operated from the United States. For anything on this page — a question, a correction, a deletion request, or a security report — write to [email protected].
Getting a budget
No account is required to describe a shoot and get an estimate. If you never ask to be matched, we hold your description and the estimate we produced — and nothing that identifies you.
Your contact details
If you ask to be matched, the contact details you give us go to the videographer who accepts your request, and only then. They are never sold, never added to a mailing list, and never shared with anyone who did not accept.
One honest caveat: your free-text description goes to up to 3 matching videographers so they can decide whether to take the job. We strip emails, phone numbers and links out of it first — but if you type your name or your venue into that box, they will see it. Put contact details in the contact field, not the description.
Videographer accounts
A listing holds your name, email, coverage, and whatever profile content you add. Accepting a second-shooter request exchanges your email with that one videographer — that is what accepting means, and it never happens without it.
Analytics
We count page views, quotes and leads to see whether the product works. Those counts are stamped to the hour, not the second, and we do not record the page you arrived from. No third-party analytics, no advertising network, no cross-site tracking of any kind.
Video
Reels and thumbnails are served by Vimeo, so Vimeo sees a request from your browser on pages that show a film. That is the only third party that receives anything, and players are loaded with Vimeo's do-not-track flag set.
How long we keep things
Orders, leads and listings are kept while the service runs, because a videographer needs to be able to look up a job they took. Ask us and we will delete yours.
Your choices
Videographers can export everything we hold and close the account from their dashboard — closing scrubs the name, email, profile and coverage immediately. Clients: email us and we will remove your request and contact details.
